I’ve written an enhancement to Ruckus’ software (written for version 3.0.0.13098 and should work for other versions — won’t damage your Ruckus installation in any way). I love Ruckus’ service, but found the task bar icon annoying. This very small (7 KB) program is completely transparent and has no UI. It simply sits next to Ruckus, and whenever it is minimized, it removes Ruckus from the task bar. Ruckus still exists in the system tray, and double clicking that icon restores the Ruckus window.
When you run the launcher, Ruckus will start up, and pressing the minimize button will remove Ruckus from the task bar. Double click the Ruckus tray icon to open Ruckus.
Extract the 3 files found in the zip file to C:\Program Files\Ruckus Player. If you chose to install Ruckus to a different location, extract the files to the same folder as Ruckus.exe. If ruckuslauncher.exe is not in the same folder as Ruckus.exe, the laucher will not be able to start Ruckus.
Then open the Start Menu and find the Ruckus Player shortcut. Right click on it and go to Properties. Change the Target from "C:\Program Files\Ruckus Player\Ruckus.exe" to "C:\Program Files\Ruckus Player\ruckuslauncher.exe"
If your install location differs, change the target of the shortcut appropriately.
Whenever you use Ruckus from this shortcut, it will be removed from the taskbar when you minimize it.
Thanks for downloading!
